Qualification Purpose
This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides Learners with the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations that can arise in both adults and children whilst taking part in outdoor or activity based environments.
During this 2 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including:
- managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR
- choking
- head and spinal injuries
- abdominal injuries
- external bleeding
- anaphylaxis and more
The QA Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (QCF) qualification has been specifically designed for those who have a responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid when dealing with an emergency situation whilst undertaking activities, such as sports, swimming, hiking, rock climbing etc.
